Saddleworth Clarion is a cycling club with 80+ members from Oldham, Tameside, Kirklees and the Saddleworth villages. It is run by local cyclists for all local cyclists looking to develop their own abilities, skills and interests in the company of others.
Our aim is simple – to enjoy the full spectrum of cycling activities from the recreational through to the competitive, both on and off the road. If like us you want a balance of enjoyment and competition without the pressure of a pure ‘racing’ club, then Saddleworth Clarion is for you!
The Saturday C Ride is the easiest of the club rides. It usually covers 30+ miles at a gentle pace and with a cafe stop en route. It's ideal for those wishing to try out the club and ride in a group of fellow cyclists. No one is ever left behind.More
The Sunday A Ride is the longest weekend ride the Club undertakes and always involves a café stop. Typically we ride around 50+ miles but it can be more or less depending on the ability of the riders and the weather. The pace is moderate and no one is ever left behind.More
The Sunday B Ride is shorter and a little faster than the A Ride but doesn’t involve a café stop. Typically we ride around 30 miles but it can be more or less depending on the ability of the riders and the weather.More
See how you’re getting on against your fellow club mates.
