Saddleworth Clarion is a cycling club with 60+ members from Oldham, Tameside, Kirklees and the Saddleworth villages. It is run by local cyclists for all local cyclists looking to develop their own abilities, skills and interests in the company of others.
Our aim is simple – to enjoy the full spectrum of cycling activities from the recreational through to the competitive, both on and off the road. If like us you want a balance of enjoyment and competition without the pressure of a pure ‘racing’ club, then Saddleworth Clarion is for you!
The Saturday Social Ride is ideal for people wanting to try out the Club and your own ability riding within a group and meet fellow cyclists. Distances vary but typically the ride with cover around 40km...More
The Sunday A Ride is the longest weekend ride the Club undertake and usually involves a café stop. Typically we ride around 80km but it can be more or less depending on the ability of the riders and the weather.More
The Sunday B Ride is shorter and a little faster than the A Ride but doesn’t involve a café stop. Typically we ride around 60km but it can be more or less depending on the ability of the riders and the weather.More
